Chile Experience, TMD, Do Now, Che

An experience Che had that may have impacted his later life could be when he tried to help the old women with asthma with the heart condition. Che talks about how when this happened he felt completely helpless and how family members of people like this only become a source of negativity and a source of bitterness in a time when the person is struggling for life. He talks about how in her eyes there was a submissive appeal for forgiveness. He talked about her horrible living conditions and how it does not contribute to her condition.
The impact it may have had on him was it may have showed him how he cant help everyone even though  he is a doctor. It may have opened his eyes a little to other things as well. It may have shaped his political ideals by making him see how some poor people live and how nothing is being done about it and it may have made him want to help change things.
"There is not much I can do for the sick woman. I simply advise her to improve her diet and prescribe a diuretic and some asthma pills."
